BBQ Ribs

You will need:

One slab of Baby or Pork Back Ribs

One bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ Sauce

 

Cut the ribs in half while still in package

take ribs out of package, and rinse well-making sure to rinse all bone fragments off (feel with your hands while rinsing)

(foil line the pan for easier clean up)

Squirt some sauce on the pan where the ribs are going to go-place ribs “face” down on the sauce

Spread a light layer of sauce on the ribs

add water to the pan-enough to have about 1/4″ depth

cover tightly with foil, place in oven

bake at 350 for about 2.5 hours, or 375 for 2 hours depending on your time

after about 2 hrs for the 350 method, or 1hr45m for the 275 method, uncover the ribs, flip them right side up, and coat with BBQ sauce-put on the top rack and let the sauce glaze up for the remaining cooking time

As with any meat, let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving

Green Beans

You will need:

1/2-3/4 lb Green Beans ( I usually do about 1-11/2 lbs)

a few cloves(cloves are the small individual parts of the garlic BULB) of garlic finely chopped

One med-Lg Sweet onion largely diced/chopped

2 cans or 1 box of vegetable broth-it can be stock too-I honestly have no idea what the difference is

Break the beans-removing the stems, but you can leave the “tail”.

Put in lg pot, add garlic, onions, broth, and finish filling with water.  You should have a couple inches of liquid above the beans.

Bring all ingredients to a boil, then cut the heat and let simmer for a good 1.5-2 hours

 

 

Orange Pork

1-1 1/2 lobs of Thin sliced pork loin(“all natural pork top loin chop thin cut bnls”)

Sweet and Sour sauce

Spray pan with Pam(not required, just makes cleanup easier)

Place pork into a baking pan/dish, cover with sweet and sour sauce

Bake, covered, (lid or foil) at 350 for about 35-45 minutes.

Remove from oven, let the meat set for about 10 minute before serving(it finishes cooking and seals in some juices)

Chicken Pasta

For Chicken Pasta (our usual amount, feeds 8) you will need :

3 Thin Sliced Frozen Chicken Breasts-thawed and sliced

1 Red Pepper

1 Medium sweet Onion

1.5 Jars of Bertolli Alfredo Sauce

1 lb Pasta-Mini Farfalle, Penne, Farfalle-your choice! (cooked)

Olive or Vegetable Oil (approx 1Tbs)

Sugar (approx 2/3Tbs)

 

Cut Onion and Peppers into slices

Add oil to pan, add onions,peppers and sugar -then sauté over med-hi heat

Remove from pan when soft (approx 5 mins)

Add sliced chicken to pan, sauté until all pink is gone

Add alfredo sauce to the cooked chicken, then add peppers and onions back in as well

Heat, then add cooked pasta.
